Dr. Amber Golden, PhD. is a Senior Consultant
at McNeil Creative Enterprises with more than a decade of experience helping mission-driven organizations use research, evaluation, and data to strengthen strategy, build resilience, and deepen impact. Her work spans partnerships with nonprofits, foundations, and federal agencies on initiatives addressing the national effects of COVID-19 in Black communities, HIV prevention among young adults, leadership development for food security advocates of color, and improved mental health outcomes.
Known for her collaborative approach and methodological rigor, Amber designs and leads research that is both culturally responsive and actionable. She has a gift for translating complex data into meaningful stories and practical insights that help organizations make informed decisions and move their work forward with confidence.
Amber holds a BS in psychology from Howard University, Master of Science in Community Psychology from Florida A&M University, a PhD in Family Relations, with specializations in Marriage and Family Therapy, Program Evaluation, and Measurement & Statistics from Florida State University. She also earned a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography with an emphasis in Arts-Based Research from Jacksonville University, reflecting her belief that art and culture are powerful catalysts for connection, learning, and lasting change.
Outside of her consulting work, Amber remains active as a performer and arts advocate. She enjoys spending time with her three adult children, exploring nature, and advancing access to arts, education, and quality mental health services. She currently serves as Board President of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and as a board member of Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS.
