Warren G. Williams III serves as a Senior Consultant at McNeil Creative Enterprises, bringing deep expertise in arts administration, music education, community engagement, and strategic planning. He supports MCE's research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic initiatives, helping organizations strengthen partnerships, expand access, and build more inclusive approaches to leadership and community impact.
A seasoned arts administrator, Warren has dedicated his career to increasing participation in the arts and creating pathways of opportunity for historically underrepresented communities. He previously served as Director of Music Education at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where he led music education initiatives for the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera, helping expand professional development opportunities for emerging musicians and future arts leaders.
Previously, as Director of Education at the Oakland Symphony, Warren led the organization's first equity, diversity, and inclusion audit, engaging board members, staff, musicians, and community partners in a collaborative effort to strengthen organizational culture. Earlier in his career, as Manager of Community Relations for the National Symphony Orchestra, he helped shape strategic community engagement efforts, including the creation of the In Your Neighborhood performance series in partnership with more than 20 community organizations.
Warren has also held leadership roles with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Sphinx Organization, and the University Musical Society, where he developed school and community partnerships designed to broaden participation in the arts. He has served on numerous multidisciplinary grant review panels for the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
Outside of his professional work, Warren enjoys playing piano, singing, and serving as a church musician.
