Amber Golden
Creative Senior Consultant
Dr. Amber Golden brings more than ten years of experience helping mission-driven organizations use data to inform strategy, strengthen resilience, and advance equity. Her portfolio spans projects funded by nonprofits, foundations, and federal agencies—addressing the national effects of COVID-19 in the Black community, HIV prevention in young adults, leadership training for food security advocates of color, and improved mental health outcomes.
With an approach grounded in collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and methodological rigor, Dr. Golden translates complex data into compelling narratives that inform decision-making and inspire action. She holds an M.S. in Community Psychology and Ph.D. in Family Relations with specializations in Marriage and Family Therapy, Program Evaluation, and Measurement & Statistics. She also holds an MFA in Choreography with an emphasis in Arts Based Research. She is a firm believer in the transformative power of art and culture as catalysts for connection, community, and sustainable impact.
When she is not conducting research or evaluations, Amber continues to perform, stay connected with her 3 adult children, enjoy time in nature, advocate for arts and education, and increase access to quality mental health services. She currently serves as the Board President for Duke Ellington School of the Arts and board member for Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS.
“We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth.”
